This summer, BDK Parfums invites fragrance lovers on a sun-drenched journey along the Mediterranean with the return of its limited-edition Collection Azur, once again illustrated by the vibrant hand of French artist Édith Carron. Available from June 16 through September 30, 2025, this olfactory trio—Citrus Riviera, Sel d’Argent and Villa Néroli—has been reimagined as a painterly escape, where scent meets sun-soaked storytelling.
Illustrator Édith Carron, known for her whimsical and colorful style seen in publications such as The New Yorker and The New York Times, lends her poetic flair to the collection for the second year in a row. Her artwork adorns not only the outer sleeves but also the labels of each bottle, transforming the fragrances into vibrant souvenirs of Mediterranean summers. Think Vallauris ceramics, pages from Giono or Fitzgerald novels, and echoes of Picasso’s studio—all evoked through watercolor splashes and playful lines.
Each scent in the collection captures the essence of an iconic Mediterranean destination, offering a sensorial panorama from the sunlit shores of the Cap d’Antibes to the windswept beaches of Corsica and the cinematic cliffs of Capri.
Citrus Riviera is a bright, sun-kissed composition inspired by the Riviera’s breezy glamour. Created by perfumer Ralf Schwieger, it opens with juicy mandarin and lemon, layered with fig, jasmine and orange blossom, before drifting into a base of vetiver and white musk. A tribute to lazy afternoons in Cap d’Antibes, it conjures the sound of laughter under fruit trees and siestas by the pool.
Sel d’Argent, composed by Anne-Sophie Behaghel, is a breeze of salt crystals and white florals—an olfactive postcard from Corsica. Fresh and mineral, this scent blends bergamot, grapefruit, and marine accords with the softness of ylang-ylang and orange blossom. Childhood memories, sea-warmed skin, and the scent of pine linger in this deeply evocative fragrance.
Villa Néroli, developed by Alexandra Carlin, is perhaps the most romantic of the trio. Inspired by a stopover on the island of Capri, it’s an amber-floral dream, opening with verdelli lemon, neroli and petitgrain before melting into a lush heart of orange blossom and rose. Base notes of vanilla, labdanum and ambrox capture the honeyed air of sunset strolls past the legendary Faraglioni cliffs.
Together, the three fragrances form a panoramic tableau—literally. When placed side by side, their illustrated cases create a single 180-degree view of the Mediterranean, from dawn to dusk.
Available in 100ml bottles for €205 each, the Collection Azur 2025 – BDK Parfums × Édith Carron is available exclusively from June 16 to September 30, at the BDK Parfums boutique on Rue Saint-Honoré, in select perfumeries and online at bdkparfums.com.
