Blue is the color chosen by A. Lange & Söhne for the four latest versions of its LANGE 1, LANGE 1 DAYMATIC, SAXONIA and SAXONIA AUTOMATIC models. As a result, a classic yet elegant combination of black blue dials in solid silver and delicate gray gold cases.
LANGE 1 DAYMATIC
Can you imagine a world without the Thirty-six views of Hokusai’s Fuji Mount, the blue period of Picasso, or Van Gogh’s Starry Night ? Quite not possible, as the color blue has for long been a source of fascination, from lapis-lazuli to Prussian blue. For this reason, A. Lange & Söhne has endowed four models in his current collection – two hand-wound and two self-winding – with dials in deep blue solid silver.
The LANGE 1, LANGE 1 DAYMATIC, SAXONIA and SAXONIA AUTOMATIC are even more captivating with the combination of their gray-gold cases.

The four models in the blue series are equipped with the Lange manufactory gauges, which present all the emblematic characteristics of the brand, from the artisanal finishing of all the components to the elaborate double assembly. Even the surfaces that will no longer be visible by the sapphire crystal back, are minutely decorated and polished. The edges of all turntables, bridges and cocks are angled and mirror polished . The edges of all plates, bridges and cocks are chamfered and then polished to a mirror finish. The hand- engraved balance cock, with the classic whiplash spring, beautifully symbolises Lange’s unfaltering quest for perfection.
