A delightful day at the Chantilly Apremont polo club – shot with my Leica
Last month, I decided to take a break from Paris and escape to the near city of
Chantilly – famous in the whole world for its castle and forest, its polo and
golf infrastructures and, of course… « Crème Chantilly » (whipped
cream) !
For that,
I stayed at the Dolce Chantilly Hotel, located in the very heart of the
historic forest, about 40 minutes from Paris. It was the first time to me at a
Dolce resort, and I have to say that I was impressed by the size of the property :
there are 200 rooms beside the 2,000m² (22 000 sq. ft) of conference
space an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, sauna, hammam, tennis court, an
18-hole golf course !

week-end was sunny enough for me to enjoy the pool, but there were other
highlights that made it even more
appreciable.
As a
week-end in Chantilly wouldn’t be complete without a visit to the polo, Dolce
Chantilly offers guests the possibility to attend a polo game as a VIP, at the
nearby Apremont polo club, one of the largest in Europe. It was great to see
the game while sipping Perrier-Jouët champagne !

With
newly appointed chef Dorian Wicart, the Dolce Chantilly has just launched its
own « bistronomy » restaurant. Aimed at offering gastronomy cuisine
in the friendly and relaxed atmostphere of a Parisian bistro,
« bistronomy » is coming back as a trend… And Dorian Wicart’s interpretation is
delicious !
