Early next month, the international auction house Bonhams will be present in Paris for “Les Grandes Marques du Monde” Sale at the Grand Palais, which opens the international auction house’s European calendar, on 6 February. Two exhibition days, open to the public on Wednesday 5 and Thursday 6 February, will be the occasion to showcase a hundred exceptional, rare and historic cars – such as Bugatti, Ferrari, Aston Martin, Jaguar, and Porsche.
Seven magnificent vintage and historic Bugattis will lead the sale, representing the golden age of French and indeed world automotive craftsmanship, innovation and performance. They will be fittingly showcased in the very venue where they were first unveiled to the world. Among them, offered for the very first time at auction, is one of the most important sports models of the marque’s golden era, a 1932 Bugatti Type 55, which started life as a works entry in the 24 Hours of Le Mans driven by two of the era’s most celebrated racing drivers, Louis Chiron and Count Guy Bouriat-Quintart.

On the occasion of this sale, Bonhams will also exhibit around thirty works of art, rare wines and watches – future top sales lots to come. This will be the only opportunity to discover this exhibition, including masterpieces by Buffet, Christo, Degas, Dufy, Foujita, Keith Haring, Renoir, Zadkine, Rodin …
