Earlier in June, De Beers hosted a dinner to introduce
their “Moments in light” exhibition at The Royal Academy of Arts in London.
With
“Moments in light”, De Beers celebrates talented and inspired women through a
series of portraits by photographer Mary
Mc Cartney.
Aimed at supporting Women for Women International ( an organisation that seeks to help female survivors of war zones rebuild their lives),
the exhibition showcases portraits of various talents such as fashion designer
Alice Temperlay and Michelin chef Skye Gyngell. In total, five women across different industries, to explore their talents and their “Moments in Light” – exceptional moments of their lives that they hold most cherished.
The dinner was also the occasion for De Beers to
showcase and launch the 1888 Master Diamonds, a selection of coloured diamonds of
exceptional character to demonstrate the diamond mastery and wondrous artistry of De Beers.
