Luxury book publisher Assouline chose London to open their first flagship store

As a lover of London and everything related to luxury lifestyle – see my recent stay at The Connaught here – I had to write about this news.
On October 28th, luxury book publisher Assouline opened their first ever international flagship, Maison Assouline, 20 years after the brand was created in Paris by Martine et Prosper Assouline.
Created as a way to offer a new vision in publishing, Assouline has become a global culture and lifestyle luxury brand – providing the world with the most sophisticated books of highly original graphic concept and iconic photos for two decades.
To date, Assouline has published over 1,200 titles across international markets on subjects including fashion, art, architecture, design, culinary arts, photography, and travel.
This opening in the British capital also was the opportunity for designer Valentino Garavani to launch his last book, Valentino: at the Emperor’s table.
Celebrities came in force for the glamorous event, including of course Martine and Prosper Assouline, M. Valentino Garavani, M. Giancarlo Giammetti, Andre Balazs, Hugh Grant, Kylie Minogue, Anne Hathaway, Tamara Beckwith, Georgio Veroni, David Downton, Tim Jefferies, Mario Testino, Suzy Menkes, Carlos Souza, the Duchess of Marlborough, King Constantin of Greece, Roland Mouret, Charles and Pandora Delevigne.
For Martine and Prosper Assouline,“London is the ultimate destination when it comes to experiencing the luxury lifestyle.
We are happy to offer our international flagship in London, the cosmopolitan capital
of the Western world. Maison Assouline will welcome people to a quintessence of
culture and style in a unique historical setting.”
