Nicolas Feuillatte, Drappier, Picard & Boyer: a new champagne selection this fall season

Nicolas Feuillatte Grand Cru Chardonnay Vintage

Nicolas Feuillatte’s Grand Cru Chardonnay Vintage is a quintessentially Chardonnay champagne, sourced in the grand cru villages for ultimate generosity and extraordinary elegance.
Pale yellow with silver glints, the vintage offers a nose of pear, peach and pineapple with a touch of passion fruit, all balanced with subtle citrus notes of orange and lemon.
Definitely a champagne to be appreciated with seafood, fish or chicken, Nicolas Feuillatte Grand Cru Chardonnay Vintage tastes rounded and soft on the attack,  becoming elegant on the palate with a more pronounced richness and a delicately honeyed, floral finish.

Drappier 2008 « Millésime Exception »Vintage

Chosen for the
special characteristics of a climatic season, the Millésime Exception of Maison
Drappier is the expression of a given year. A harmonious blend of 65% Pinot
Noir and 35% Chardonnay, this champagne was matured for 12 months before the
second fermentation. The wines were then assembled and kept on lees for 5
years.
The fine,
delicate and ethereal bubble of this vintage comes with white fruit aromas
displaying slightly toasted notes associated with dried fruits: dates, fig and
apricot.
I like that the vintage year is molded in the glass of the bottle –
something unique in champagne !

A champagne
born from a friendship, and now perpetuated by a family : this is the
spirit of champagne house Picard & Boyer. « Esprit de Famille »,
meant to be representative of the house’s Vallée de la Marne terroir, is based
on Pinot Meunier, a black grape variety that gives wine its fruitiness and
freshness.
With a beautiful straw-yellow color, Picard & Boyer’s « Esprit de
Famille » gets its typical nose from a blend of 70% of Pinot Meunier and
30% of Chardonnay, the dominance of Pinot Meunier making it the perfect
apéritif champagne !
