Promenade pour un Objet d’Exception: Avenue Montaigne, September 14-16

Art meets luxury at the Promenade pour un Objet d’Exception event. Initially launched by the Comité Montaigne in March 2012, this one-of-a-kind stroll has become a must-do every September, together with the Comite’s Vendanges event – notably for visitors attending Paris’s ‘Biennale des Antiquaires’ antiques fair, which is also held at this time of year.

The Montaigne Committee, an association of prestigious Houses from Avenue Montaigne, Rue François 1er and Rue de Marignan, aims to make this district shine throughout the world. It has more than 80 members, including the most prestigious luxury houses. An ambassador of French savoir-faire, Parisian couture and luxury throughout the world, the Comité Montaigne organizes the 4th edition of the “Walk for an Object of Exception”: a unique meeting where art, fashion and Parisian luxury meet.

This ‘stroll to admire exceptional objects’ is an unforgettable experience. Each of the prestigious locations showcases one extraordinary object, chosen – or conceived – especially for the exhibition, be it an exclusive handbag, a genuine artwork, a rare piece from a brand’s archives or a one-off creation. Over the course of a few days, the stores transform into a pop-up art gallery featuring a dazzling display of high-end objects – in line with the Biennale des Antiquaires.
