Rosewood Calistoga: A New Chapter for Napa Valley

California’s Napa Valley, already one of the world’s most coveted wine regions, is set to welcome a striking new arrival. Rosewood Hotels & Resorts has announced the opening of Rosewood Calistoga and Rosewood Residences Calistoga, scheduled for 2027. Perched on a 118-acre hillside estate, the property will embody Rosewood’s signature Sense of Place philosophy, weaving together design, gastronomy, and wellness to offer a next-generation retreat in the heart of wine country.

A Vision Shaped by the Land

Nestled on Calistoga’s forested ridgeline, Rosewood Calistoga has been envisioned as more than just a hotel: it is designed as a living ecosystem where nature, community, and refined hospitality meet. Design studio Atelier Marsh will carry forward the original vision of the late architect Ed Tuttle, blending understated forms and natural materials with the warmth and textures of wine country living. With 129 guestrooms, suites, and residences, the property will flow seamlessly with the surrounding landscape, embracing the changing rhythms of the seasons.

Gastronomy Rooted in Napa’s Bounty

At the heart of Rosewood Calistoga lies a commitment to Napa’s legendary food and wine culture. The resort’s signature restaurant will champion an earth-to-table philosophy, drawing from its own gardens as well as the region’s farms, ranches, and fisheries. Guests can expect an ever-evolving menu featuring organic meats, sustainably harvested seafood, and freshly picked produce. An intimate cocktail bar will showcase mixology and an exceptional wine program, while a relaxed poolside eatery will serve casual fare with sweeping vineyard views. Beyond dining, guests will be invited to take part in immersive experiences — from cooking workshops to starlit vineyard dinners — all designed to celebrate togetherness and Napa’s heritage.

The Art of Wellbeing

True to Rosewood’s dedication to integrative wellness, the property will introduce Asaya®, the brand’s holistic spa concept. Set against a forested backdrop, Asaya will feature six treatment rooms, hydrotherapy experiences, outdoor gardens, and a state-of-the-art fitness center. Guests will also enjoy two swimming pools (one for adults, one for families) and a Rosewood Explorer’s Club for younger travelers. With more than 20,000 square feet of event space, Rosewood Calistoga will also become a destination for gatherings, whether intimate or grand.

A New Standard of Residential Living

Alongside the resort, Rosewood will launch an exclusive collection of 20 private villas and 13 homesites under Rosewood Residences Calistoga. Designed to echo the same architectural language as the hotel, the residences blend modern refinement with the textures of the land, creating homes that evolve in harmony with the seasons. Residents will benefit from Rosewood’s full suite of amenities — from Asaya’s wellness offerings to culinary experiences — as well as access to the Rosewood Reserve program.

For travelers and future residents alike, Rosewood Calistoga is poised to be a destination where design, gastronomy, wellness, and community converge, offering a fresh perspective on one of the world’s most celebrated wine regions.
