Already famous for its iconic designer afternoon tea, London’s Berkeley hotel features some of the British capital’s trendiest hotspots, such as celebrity hangout The blue Bar, and the city’s only
roof-top heath club and spa.
roof-top heath club and spa.
Starting today through this summer, the Berkeley opens this exclusive haven of well-being to visitors for what may be the coolest fitness discipline ever – and what surely will be all the rage in London these coming months: the city’s first rooftop hula-hooping masterclasses, in partnership with leading and distinguished hula-hoop fitness experts HulaFit.
What looked like a fun game to me actually is a real fitness activity, as I found out: hula-hooping burns up to 600 calories an hour, and is a favorite of celebrities such as Liv Tyler, Emma Stone and Beyonce.
The Berkeley’s weekly 60-minute masterclasses, for up to six hula-hoopers until 28th October 2015, will teach a wide variety of hooping styles to burn calories, tone muscles and teach tricks – hosted by HulaFit’s founder Anna Byrne.
And to make the Berkeley experience even better, hotel guests and visitors alike will be able to enjoy a relaxing dip and a well-deserved poolside lunch overlooking panoramic views
of Hyde Park and bustling Knightsbridge after their class.

Something I would definitely try if I was in London !
