combining utter elegance with touches of extravagance.

A couple of weeks ago, the Saint James launched
what surely is going to be one of the attractions of the season in Paris :
a rosé bar in its backyard. Cocktails, wines, champagne, food and pastry all get a touch of pink to remind of the rosé
colour, as an ode to the freshness and sweetness of summer.

Two cocktails have been created
especially by the Saint James’ new head barman Judicaël Noël for the « bar
à rosés » : the Pink Panther, combining vodka, coconut liqueur,
ginger and strawberries. The alcohol free Rose des Vents combines pineapple
juice, cranberry, raspberry and basil.
Sommelier Micaël Morais completes
the drinks menu with a delightful selection of rosé wines and champagnes :
Côtes de Provence Château d’Esclans, a Domaine du Monteillet, a Redoma Rose
from Portugal and Taittinger Prestige Rosé champagne.

On the food side, chef Virginia
Basselot (whose cuisine has just been awarded a Michelin star !) offers
recipes combining noble products with season fruits and vegetables – all
pink ; such as foie gras with strawberry chutney. Connoiseurs will also
appreciate Maison Astara’s spring Baeri caviar.
