The terrace at La Brasserie du Louvre |
Built in 1855 with a Napoleon III style, the Hotel du Louvre – which recently joined the Hyatt group – was one of the first palaces in Paris. One of its main advantages has to be its location: the hotel is nearby the Louvre Museum, the Opéra Garnier and the Palais Royal… Hot location indeed !
Another asset the hotel offers is La Brasserie du Louvre: nestled under the arcades of the Place du Palais-Royal, opposite the Louvre Museum and the Comédie Française, La Brasserie du Louvre recently celebrated its 100th anniversary, which gave me the opportunity to discover this Parisian institution.

A very nice birthday party ! Shot with my Leica |
Set in a typical Parisian atmosphere, the Brasserie du Louvre offers a bright dining room decorated with elegant dark wood paneling and surprising golden frescoes recalling the Louvre Museum masterpieces. Each week, the restaurant managed by chef Denis Bellon offers a new menu showcasing local produce and seasonal flavors.
