The Maybourne Riviera – the strikingly modernist hotel built high above the picturesque town of Roquebrune-Cap-Martin – has just unveiled its summer retreat “Maybourne La Plage”. Positioned right on the edge of the Cap Martin, between bustling Monaco and the staggering Italian coastline, Maybourne La Plage faces the glistening Mediterranean sea and is inspired by the golden age of the French Riviera and Slim Aarons pictures of the Amalfi Coast.
Maybourne La Plage boasts an intimate restaurant space and a beach dotted with sun loungers that follow the natural curves of the landscape. Guests can arrive directly at the sunbathing area by boat, mooring to the club’s wooden pontoon. A driftwood pergola, rattan furniture, fringed umbrellas and and accents of coral and orange evoke a chic and effortless Mediterranean art of living.
The restaurant offers an informal seasonal menu by legendary chef Mauro Colagreco. Star dishes include linguine alle vongole, grilled lobster and octopus, burrata and a reimagined Tropezienne.
Maybourne La Plage is open until the 24th of September, from 10am to 6pm.
